The Place

Our first time back to this rocky coastline and coastal forest since 2004, Point Lobos is truly one of “the greatest meeting of land and sea in the world.”

Getting There

Take CA Hwy 1 South for 20 miles to Point Lobos. Park entrance on right 3 miles south of Carmel. Once inside, turn right to the Whaler’s Cove parking lot.

Drive time is 1 Hour 30 Minutes – Parking $8 – Dogs not allowed

Walking the Walk

(Level 2 - Miles: 5 - Elevation ~200')  Our route includes a loop through the familiar Whaler’s Cove portion of the park and then for the first time a trip to the northern most tip of the park at Granite Point for the meeting.
