Mount Diablo State Park is one of the ecological
treasures of the San Francisco Bay Area. Every season in the park has special
qualities. The mountain has beautiful wild flowers, an extensive trail system,
fascinating wildlife and distinctive rock formations. From the summit on a clear
day, there are amazing views of the Bay Area.

Directions: From San Jose: Take 680N to Diablo Rd. (exit 39). Make a right on Diablo Rd. then a left on Mount Diablo
Scenic Blvd. Go to the South Gate entrance.
We will be camping at the Buckeye Group Camp Site. Check in time is 2 P.M.
Drive Time 90 Minutes - Camping $10.00 - Parking $6.00 - Dogs not allowed.

If you are hiking with us on Friday, we will be hiking the Sycamore Canyon Loop starting from Curry Point at 3 P.M.
Level 2.5 - Miles: 3.6 - Elevation 640' - Hosts: Jeannie & Dale
If you are hiking with us on Saturday, we will start the hike from the lower summit parking lot at 10 A.M. Our hike will
take us around the summit.
Level 3.5 - Miles: 6.8 - Elevation 1820' - Hosts: Jeannie & Dale

RECOMMENDED: Wear layers and prepare for quick changes in temperature. Bring plenty of water.
