Silver Lake Summer Retreat
August 14-16, 2009

The Place

This retreat offers something for everyone. For the hikers, we have an easier hike to Granite Lake, passing a beautiful waterfall along the way, and on Saturday a more challenging hike to the top of 9400’ Thunder Mountain, with views of Silver Lake, Kirkwood ski resort, and the high Sierra range.

For those wanting a more relaxing getaway, Silver Lake is perfect for fishing, swimming, or sunbathing on its granite slab shores, or you can rent a canoe or kayak and paddle out to Treasure Island in the middle of the lake for exploring or a picnic lunch.

Friday: Granite Lake Level : 2.5 - Miles: 6 - Elevation: 400’
Saturday: Thunder Mtn. Level 4.5 - Miles: 8.4 - Elevation: 2200’
