Sunol Regional Wilderness
May 11 @ 10:00 am
Host: Troy H.
The Place Located in the northwest corner of Sunol Regional Wilderness, Maguire Peak is one of the least visited areas in this popular hiking ground.
The Hike
This remote spot provides some solitude as well as excellent views of San Antonio Reservoir and Mt. Diablo. Bay Area plants found along Maguire Loop Trail are rare in the rest of the park. If we are lucky, we might be able to see the herd of Tule Elks wandering somewhere near the reservoir. The wildflower blooms should be amazing this spring.
